Some minor fettling is sometimes required. If you are having issues with the primary making contact with the frame rail, check the adjustment of your motor mounts. Usually this can be rectified with an adjustment. In rare cases, it is common practice during test fitting to clearance headers using a tap with a ball peen hammer to massage the area that’s making contact. This will not affect the flow or damage the header at all.
